Introducing POS Category Assignments for POS Profiles

The data on your POS needs to be well organized so your staff can focus on selling to your customers.

To make this easier, we're introducing assignments for POS Categories to POS Profiles, so you can display only the products you want within each of your POS Profiles.

When you add a new POS Category, make sure you assign it to a POS Profile (or a few!). Only the products within that Category will then be displayed on your POS. Similar to how you can currently arrange products within a Category, you will also be able to arrange the order in which your Categories display within your Profiles so you can choose which products your staff sees first. 

By default, all existing POS Categories will apply to all POS Profiles and you will not be affected until you go into either POS Categories or POS Profiles to modify the assignment settings. You can also assign Categories to your POS Profiles directly from the POS Profile section of the admin panel.

reCAPTCHA Improvement for Product Reviews and Blogs

Last month you let us know about the issues you were experiencing with spam on product reviews and blogs. We recognize that this was frustrating for you, so we have now implemented a new Google reCAPTCHA tool that will prevent robots from submitting future spam to your product reviews and blogs. 

Since the way the widget displays may impact your custom design, you can temporarily toggle it on or off via your Website Settings, so that your designer has time to make modifications if necessary before you leave it enabled. We encourage you to adjust your design as soon as possible as this will only be a temporary setting.

Updated Transaction Emails for West Virginia Wineries

Recently the West Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission introduced a requirement to notify consumers about the effects of alcohol in transactional emails. We have updated our transactional emails to comply with this requirement.

Modify POS Orders More Easily

It happens: customers change their minds. New on the POS are 'back' and 'cancel' buttons to allow you more flexibility to modify transactions like swapping out products or switching credit cards without having to exit the POS app. 

Updates include the ability to:

  • go back on Signature window
  • cancel out of Tip window
  • logout after a transaction

Enhancements Made to POS

We've been doing lots of work behind the scenes to ensure your POS runs more smoothly.

If your Internet connection isn't very reliable or a server call is taking too long, the steps required to place an order will now automatically retry, helping avoid freezing screens. 

This is the first of some great updates we're rolling out in our POS to help you effortlessly process transactions so that you can focus on your customers. 

No need to update the app to benefit, this enhancement will load automatically to your POS.

Resume Declined Club Orders from POS

Easily resume your declined club orders, right from the POS. 

If you look up a declined order under the Order Manager section of the POS and choose to Resume a declined club order, the club processing batch that the original order was part of will be updated to reflected that the members' club shipment has been processed.
