Below are some details on some of the attributes to help you with entering the right information.
To be fair to the partners, inventory settings are required for products so that they know how much is available. Wines without inventory activated will fail the product sync and not be made available to the Marketplace partners.
To manage this, a winery can chose one of two ways to control inventory. The 1st is to choose that Marketplace orders affect the current Default pool. The system will then reduce this pool when Marketplace orders occur. No additional action is needed if this one is chosen.
There is also the option to have an additional separate pool created to manage how much you want to sell through the program. If you chose this method, the system will automatically create a pool called ‘Vin65 Marketplace’ inventory pool. This inventory pool acts more as an allocation amount that you allow the Marketplace to sell, and is what we show the Marketplace partners. The system will then reduce this pool when Marketplace orders occur.
As shown by the screen shot below, the new pool will show ‘Manage SKUs’ with all your other inventory pools.
When the pool of your choosing goes to '0' the product will be made unavailable to the partners, until the inventory is increased again. If you are using the ‘Vin65 Marketplace’ pool an alert will be displayed on your Vin65 Dashboard that will notify you of Marketplace products that have reached '0'.
WineDirect Fulfillment clients
For WineDirect fulfillment clients, we are pleased to offer a new feature for marketplace. Orders can be placed from multiple wineries in a single order!
In order to do this, Marketplace orders will be fulfilled through a unique WineDirect Fulfillment account. This processing happens “behind the scenes” and requires no action on your part. Additionally, your winery will not be invoiced for the shipping charges on these orders.
The Program also cross-references your products to a Vin65 Marketplace subinventory that you will see in the WineDirect Fulfillment Portal. For Default pool users, inventory will move to the subinventory only when orders are placed. For Marketplace pool users, the subinventory will line up with the inventory amount that you designated in Vin65; as orders are processed, inventory is decremented in both locations automatically. No action is needed on your part.
Since the Marketplace fulfills the order through the unique account, your winery’s order flow will change to prevent double orders. This is done by preventing the order from fulfilling through your WineDirect Fulfillment Primary AMC account. For direct integrations between Vin65 to fulfillment the program prevents the fulfillment and then order is updated automatically with order details such as tracking, ship date and statuses.
For ShipCompliant clients the prevention will happen by sending the order to ShipCompliant with the status of ‘In Process’ so that they are not part of automatic fulfillment or manual releases to your WineDirect Fulfillment Primary account. Orders will have a prefix of VIN65API so they are easily identified. Marketplace will then update ShipComplaint directly with all the required order information so that your reporting doesn’t miss a beat. Compliance checks are not affected. It is important to understand that these orders should not be released by you. No action is needed on your part.
For a wine to be successfully be on Marketplace one of the following options has to be used for wine type. However, there is some intelligence that allows for some wine types that do not match exactly to be excepted. An example would be if you have 'Red' instead of 'Red Wine'.
The acceptable varietal list has also been standardized to ensure quality data for our partners. Below is the complete list of acceptable varietals. This continues to be a work in process, and has started to be common list that is used between Vin65 and WineDirect Fulfillment.
