Future Ship Dates

How It Works

By default an order that is placed will be sent directly to an integrated fulfillment house or will be fulfilled by the winery as soon as possible, so the ship date is within a few days of the order being placed. But there are some scenarios such as  weather holds, delayed or requested shipping dates, or product futures that require you to set a future ship date in advance.

The future ship date tools allow you to enter a future ship date for these orders so that they either flow to fulfillment with a requested future ship date or are held in Vin65 until the ship date arrives (this depends on your fulfillment provider).

Future ship dates can be added on a product level, order level, or a state level (via weather hold).
